Tim McSunas is Chief Investment Officer. Tim has over 20 years of experience in acquisition, land planning and project management for several Southern California homebuilders. Tim oversees the identification and acquisition process of properties for The Shopoff Group. Before joining the Shopoff Group in May, 2006, Tim served as the Southern California Division President for Taylor Woodrow Homes, where he was responsible for all acquisitions, design, entitlements, operations, sales and marketing for community development and homebuilding.
Tim also served as the Regional Manager and Vice President for Pardee Homes, where he was hired to start a new division in the Orange County market. He was responsible for hiring a new staff and manage, all acquisitions, entitlements and operations. Tim also served as director of land acquisitions for John Laing Homes in San Diego and Orange Counties, and also founded a residential and commercial building company in Bend, Oregon.
Tim earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from Arizona State University and is a licensed contractor in California and Oregon. He has also been an active member of the Southern California Building Industry Association since 1988. He joined the BIA Orange County in 1996 and became a member of the BIA/OC Board of Directors in 2001. In 2003, he was appointed to the BIA/OC Executive Committee and was the President for 2007. Currently, he serves on the board of directors for Home Aid/Orange County.
