Sean Duran works in investor relations and client services for Shopoff Securities Inc., the broker-dealer for Shopoff Properties Trust, a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT). Sean works directly with investors to raise capital, provide investment specifics to potential investors, and facilitate the investment process. He also serves as a direct point of contact in communicating the company's strategy and providing information about existing and future projects.  Â
Sean has a comprehensive background in financial and retirement planning and investments, as well as extensive experience in broker/dealer compliance, operations, and management. He specializes in providing customized wealth management solutions for high net worth individuals through proactive asset management. Prior to joining Shopoff Securities, Inc., Sean was Regional Sales Manager for DFC Group Inc., a U.S. subsidiary of BNP Paribas France, where he developed and trained registered representatives throughout Southern California.
In addition, as a private wealth manager with PMB Securities, Sean provided comprehensive asset management to high net worth individuals and managed over 85 million in assets. As a financial consultant with Morgan Stanley, Sean specialized in private client asset management services and earned the designation of Retirement Planning Specialist. Sean also served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Gore Horvath, Inc., a FINRA broker-dealer. He was instrumental in the development and direction of the firm's investment management and financial planning services sectors while simultaneously providing supervision of the firm's investment executives.
Sean earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University, Long Beach with an emphasis in Finance. He holds FINRA Series 7, 24, and 63 securities licenses and a Life and Disability Insurance License. He is a board member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals and a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).
