Desert Moon Estates is an approved 739 single family lot subdivision on 200 acres located in the Town of Buckeye, Arizona. The Preliminary Plat was approved in December 2005. Entitlements are vested in the Town of Buckeye. Final plat maps and improvement plans for Desert Moon Estates have been prepared but have not been processed for final approval.

Desert Moon Estates has a Certificate of Assured Water Supply issued by Global Water. Pursuant to an agreement with Global Water, Water transmission mains and storage reservoirs were constructed and dedicated to Global Water to serve the property. A total of $2.6 million ($3,500/unit) in fees has been prepaid for the construction of water supply infrastructure. Desert Moon Estates is one of the few remaining projects with water supply availability that has also paid their water fees.

Sewer service is provided by The Town of Buckeye. Sewer collection lines and infrastructure, including an expansion of the Beloat Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), were constructed and dedicated. The Watson Road Community Facilities District funded sewer infrastructure improvements that will serve the Desert Moon Estates project and other area projects. The Town of Buckeye confirmed that there is adequate capacity remaining in the sewer system to serve the Desert Moon Estates project as well as other projects planned for future connection to the Beloat WWTP.

With current finished lot inventory levels depleting and strong recovery in the Phoenix MSA housing market, Desert Moon Estates is well-positioned for development. Unlike many of the competitive communities in Buckeye, Desert Moon Estates is located near the main commuting corridor of the Phoenix Metro. The I-10 is located directly north of the site and provides access to the greater Phoenix MSA. Many of the competitive communities experience longer commute times because they are located a significant distance from the freeway.
