Bill Smith is Senior Vice President of Design and Construction for the Sponsor’s Land Assets Team. Mr. Smith has more than thirty (30) years of experience designing and constructing high profile, luxury hotel and resort projects across the globe. Prior to joining Shopoff Realty Investments, Mr. Smith served as Senior Vice President of Global Construction at Las Vegas Sands responsible for managing construction projects globally valued at approximately $6 billion. Mr. Smith also served with AECOM Capital as their Executive Vice President of Design and Construction, managing their portfolio of new projects nationally valued at $4 billion. Mr. Smith most notably served as President and Chief Operating Officer of MGM MIRAGE Design Group where he was responsible for the design and construction of the $9 billion mixed-use CityCenter project in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Smith has been involved with or led the construction of more than $18 billion in assets over his career and his expertise in complex building developments will further strengthen Shopoff’s team of development professionals as we move forward with high profile projects of our own in the coming years.
In his role at Shopoff, Mr. Smith will be responsible for the design, construction and delivery of The Dream Hotel & Casino, a luxury 531-room 20-story hotel and casino, located on the Las Vegas Strip. Mr. Smith will manage the pre-construction, design and construction phase while providing strategic leadership, direction, and vision necessary to ensure the successful delivery of Dream Las Vegas. Mr. Smith earned a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Temple University. He is a Registered Architect and Member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
