PROJECT HIGHLIGHT In 2017, Shopoff acquired a 2.8-acre infill site in Whittier, CA, which included industrial buildings and a car wash. As demand for residential continues to increase in the Southeast Los Angeles submarket, the firm saw a multifamily development as a much-needed addition to the community. In 2018, Shopoff secured city approval for a multifamily project. The firm redeveloped the site into a 60-unit boutique apartment complex, Cierra Apartments, which was completed in 2023. The property features upscale amenities, including a clubhouse, fitness center, pool, and spa. In November 2025, Shopoff secured $17.815 million in senior mortgage financing for the project, which will support property management and operations. The Cierra Apartments is currently 91% leased and preparing for sale. |
